Commonwealth Bank Teaching Awards

We all know a teacher who we connected with, who supported us, who saw something in us. Now is the time to celebrate these inspirational educators, thanks to the Commonwealth Bank Teaching Awards.

There are twelve Awards valued at $45,000 for outstanding teachers and up to 10 awards worth $10,000 for early-career teachers.

Schools Update for 1 March 2022


Parents in South East Queensland please refer to communications from your school about school closures and openings due to flooding etc. This is the only way to know for sure if your school is operating or not. The Queensland Catholic Education Commission website is also a great place to check for accurate information on school closures.

Commonwealth Bank Teaching Awards


Applications Open 7 February 2022

Schools Plus is seeking nominations and applications for the Commonwealth Bank Teaching Awards.

Each year, twelve outstanding teachers are chosen for a prestigious Teaching Fellowship valued at $45,000. This year’s Awards will also recognise up to 10 Early Career Teachers with an award valued at $10,000.

Nominations open for the myQCE Student Reference Group


The Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) is recruiting
new members for the myQCE Student Reference Group in 2022.

The group gives students in Years 10, 11 and 12 the chance to have their say about the QCE system processes and senior schooling.
